Summary: We collect only the information necessary to provide the platform, process payments and respond to your questions. We do not sell your data. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time.

Cricket Knowledge Hub ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at cricketknowledgehub.com and the online learning platform available at that address. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

By using our platform or creating an account, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

This policy applies to all users of cricketknowledgehub.com, including visitors and subscribers. It does not apply to third-party websites linked to from our platform.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you create an account, subscribe, or contact us, we collect:

  • Account details — your first name, last name and email address
  • Optional profile details — phone number, state, skill level and preferred cricket format if you choose to provide them
  • Payment information — billing name, email and state. We do not store card numbers, CVV codes or UPI IDs. Payments are processed by our payment provider and we receive only a confirmation and transaction reference
  • Expert doubt submissions — the questions you submit through the Ask Expert feature and the skill area and related lesson you associate with them
  • Contact messages — the content of messages you send through our Contact page

Information collected automatically

When you use the platform, we collect certain technical information automatically:

  • Usage data — which lessons you visit, how long you spend on them, and your progress through modules
  • Device and browser information — browser type, operating system and screen resolution
  • IP address — used to estimate your general location (city or region level) for analytics purposes
  • Log data — pages visited, time and date of access, and errors encountered

Information from third parties

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google as part of the authentication process. We do not receive your Google password or access to your Google account beyond what is needed for sign-in.

Service providers

We use third-party services to operate the platform. These providers process your data only on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

  • Payment processing — Razorpay or equivalent payment gateway. They receive billing details needed to process the payment and issue a transaction reference
  • Hosting and infrastructure — the servers and cloud services on which the platform runs
  • Email delivery — used to send subscription confirmations, invoices and notifications
  • Analytics — aggregated, anonymised usage data may be processed using analytics tools to understand how the platform is used

Legal obligations

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order or government authority, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Cricket Knowledge Hub, our subscribers or others.

Business transfers

If Cricket Knowledge Hub is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subscriber information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you by email and update this policy before any such transfer takes place.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform. A cookie is a small file stored in your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies or cookies that track you across other websites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or accessing subscriber content.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service.

  • Account data — retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of a verified account deletion request
  • Lesson progress data — retained while your account is active and deleted with your account
  • Expert doubt submissions and responses — retained while your account is active so you can refer back to them
  • Payment and billing records — retained for 7 years from the date of transaction as required under Indian tax and accounting regulations
  • Contact messages — retained for up to 2 years, then deleted unless there is an ongoing query or legal requirement to retain them

When data is deleted, it is removed from active systems within 30 days. Backups may retain data for a further 90 days before being overwritten.

7. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — you can update most of your personal details directly through your profile page. For changes to your email address, contact us
  • Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and personal data. Note that billing records must be retained for legal compliance. See Section 6 for details
  • Restriction — you can ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Portability — you can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection — you can object to certain uses of your data, including analytics processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the Contact page or by email. We will respond within 30 days.

We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request to protect the security of your account.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. These include:

  • HTTPS encryption on all pages of the platform
  • Passwords stored as hashed values — we never store or transmit plain-text passwords
  • Payment data handled entirely by our payment provider — we do not store card numbers or UPI IDs on our servers
  • Access to personal data restricted to team members who need it to operate the platform

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please change your password immediately and contact us.

9. Children

Cricket Knowledge Hub is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you should use this platform with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe this has occurred, please contact us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements.

When we make a significant change, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The updated policy will also be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the platform after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with a change, you may cancel your subscription and request deletion of your account.
